If you look at all the people on Earth the percentage of people who get to see a performance at Carnegie Hall or the Opera Paris is very very small. The percentage that get to be on stage during the performance is even smaller. Really just the performers and any intrepid insects who are fans of ballet. It was with this in mind (aside from the insects part) that Google created the Performing Arts Project. An immersive way to give anyone with the internet and a phone a way to go on stage among the dancers during Peer Gynt which I’m glad I don’t have to pronounce. This won at Cannes and D&AD and Webby’s and lots of other stuff if you are interested in that kind of stuff.
