My Cee Vee
Director / DGA Member, March ‘15 - Present
Directed content and campaigns for brands big and small. Everything from Waze and Facebook, to a non-profit trying to prevent sight loss. Currently repped as a director by Reverie Content (before that Caviar).
Creative Director / Writer, March ‘15 - Present
Currently at Waze where, in addition to traditional ad stuff, I help develop cool product features, like “CoPilot” which allows drivers to add unique experiences to their drives that mix navigation and entertainment (partners include Halo, Netflix, Christina Aguilera, Sesame Street and more).
I’ve also helped out at Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, and lots of other places. I’m also helping Seth Rogen with his weed brand, Houseplant.
Creative Director / Writer, 72andSunny, March ‘12 - March ‘15
I was the lead writer on the Samsung “Fan Boys” campaign (the one that made fun of people waiting in line at the Apple Store). After that I came up with the tagline that helped win the Smirnoff business globally. Along with my CD partner, we opened the New York office and helped build it from four people to over seventy in about a year.
Sr. Copywriter, Sid Lee, September ‘11 - March ‘12
I helped an international team with creatives from Canada, Texas, Belgium, Paris and a whole bunch of other places develop brand campaigns for Dell.
Copywriter, BBDO, June ‘10 - June ‘11
Lead writer on the regional Milk account, and also pitched in on a variety of Pepsi products, Molson Beer and Dollar General. I learned a lot about what makes a not so great Creative Director, which is as important as learning what makes a great one.
Copywriter, RTOP, September ‘06 - September ‘09
Started as an admin and spent nights writing headlines to submit to the Creative Directors to try and learn how to write copy. Eventually moved into the creative department and worked on a diverse cross-section of accounts, making big work with small regional budgets.
Various, June ‘04 - September ‘06
Before advertising I was a Production Assistant, an Intern on the Adult Swim show Tom Goes the Mayor, a bartender, a set builder and a prisoner in a Mexican Prison (briefly).
Awards: One Show, Cannes Lions, Webby’s, Clios, D&AD, Jay Chiat Awards, various participation trophies
